Reasonix with Nbility

This covers Reasonix releases exposing [[providers]] configuration. Reasonix has a separate credential location; a key in the shell does not necessarily mean the client has loaded it.

Configure a provider

Merge into ~/.reasonix/config.toml:

default_model = "nbility"

[[providers]]
name = "nbility"
kind = "openai"
base_url = "https://api.nbility.ai/v1"
models = ["YOUR_MODEL_ID"]
default = "YOUR_MODEL_ID"
api_key_env = "NBILITY_API_KEY"
context_window = 8192

In this format, default_model selects the provider name and default selects its model. Replace both model IDs consistently and adjust the illustrative context limit.

Store credentials

Following your release’s credential rules, place this in user-level ~/.reasonix/.env:

NBILITY_API_KEY=YOUR_API_KEY

Keep this file out of project repositories. Check the installed release for the Windows location and credential resolution. If a shell variable is ignored, inspect the global credential file.

Verify

Start Reasonix, confirm the provider and model, send a short message, and check Usage logs. If the desktop form requests a complete endpoint, use https://api.nbility.ai/v1/chat/completions rather than the file’s base URL.
